Yai Deng x Josiah Baker of Baker Surf

ABOUT YAI DENG x JOSIAH BAKER
Yai Deng (left) publishes under the pen name Nully. He is a self-taught painter based in Portland, Maine. While he works across different mediums, he has recently fallen in love with painting — and with the way a single image can communicate complex ideas that connect with communities worldwide. His influences include Jean-Michel Basquiat, Kerry James Marshall and Frida Kahlo, among others.
Josiah Baker-Connick (right) makes surfboards for waves around the world. He designs one-of-a-kind boards for people and builds them start to finish. Baker Surf is a practice in combing classic design with the performance of modern surfcraft. Each board is built with high-quality materials and a focus on longevity. The ultimate goal is a healthy patina, earned as it travels from ocean to ocean.
