[SD / LA / NY, Sincerely] is a love letter that intersects various cities: A celebration of where artists have lived, shown work and been inspired to create change in themselves.
The show examines how these worlds become unified via shared areas of influence, overlapping social circles and visual languages. The work in this show may have a certain New York City edge — but it also speaks to farther-reaching contemporary issues in Painting and creating writ large. A conversation spoken in many different languages: as artists become more connected and the art world becomes more heterogeneous, the overarching aim is that other love letters connected to other locations will be given written and shared.
