Cheers to Chris Grippo. Aka The Roman Viking. Aka the individual behind his timeless "Captain's Log" video series. Aka The Head of New Hampshire's Surfrider Foundation Chapter. Aka one of the Granite State's Finest.

A Family man with two great kids that love the ocean and surfing. Constant running mate to his best friend, a Siberian Husky named Kota. Unfailing source of positive vibes and inspiration for outdoor enjoyment. From the ocean to the mountains, these are some of the things that make Chris tick!

He is an OG New Englander that hails from the cold lands of New Hampshire. He eventually broke out, traveled to far off places & eventually came back. Never say “Never” because you never truly know! 

Chris is a lifelong surfer, skier & former windsurfer (who once pursued life as a professional windsurfer ... was significantly more difficult than he first thought).

That said, surfing was where it all started & where Chris journey continues. There is nothing like surfing. The flow, the glide, the slide. It is captivating. 

An environmentalist who believes the world and or the Big Blue Marble is a special place, a place like none other. Protect it. Chris has done & lived a bunch of lives from sports to tech to education to non-profits. He has found his “what & why” by engaging people of all ages & getting them excited to care for our ocean, waves & beaches (and mountains too)! 

A few things he lives by:

• Leave the world a better place than when you first met it
• Aut viam inveniam aut faciam  - If you are not given a way, then make one!
• Adventure is wherever you find it
• Create great stories that live long after oneself
• Be someone that can be counted on. Always
• Never strive for mediocrity
• There are no bad conditions, only bad gear & a lack of preparation
• Laugh every day
• The 7Ps of Success

He also knows a thing or two about gear and won’t settle for anything but the best hence why anytime you find him surfing, he is kitted-out in his 00 aka Double Zero by XIIIG
