Hey Eros! Tell me a bit about your background and what inspired your involvement in “Studio”?
“My role in the opening was helping the mastermind and owner, Jeremy, a legend of a guy from New Zealand. I met him months back and when he told me about his vision I was taken back and offered whatever help I could provide. My background working in different areas of the music industry for the last couple of years and the connections I have in Santa Barbara were where I thought I could help. Also, the space Jeremy envisioned sounded like a utopia. I believed in the vision and was passionate about being a part of it. Jeremy's background in business and marketing, with his passion for music and culture, allowed him to get through the nearly impossible nuances of opening an experimental that is against the grain establishment in a town like Santa Barbara. We are both inspired by music and the communities built around it and wanted to capture what we love most about musical, social environments.”

What is Studio?
“Studio is a bar, production space, and soundroom. It will offer experiments in liquid, light, and sound. Unique beers, international natural wines, and aperitif-based cocktails. Revolving light installations that deliver vibrant color in the day or night. Bringing this together is a wide-ranging music experience for those who want something outside of the typical club. Its name comes from the concept of a recording and creative studio where you can also get a drink. Being able to bring people under one roof with the intention of listening to good music and building relationships is key.”
Why choose to open Studio in Santa Barbara?
“Honestly, Santa Barbara needs a space like this. There's nothing like Studio and people are really interested in new experiences. I honestly think it is going to bring something really special and unique to the Funk Zone and Santa Barbara as a whole.”

What will the average evening at Studio look like?
“There is no typical at Studio. Every day will be a different vibe, different genres of music, and different demographics of people. Studio is a place for everyone and everything. There will always be good tunes, good people, and cold beverages though.
Anything else we should know about Studio?
“It will be open very soon. We are planning a couple of soft openings to iron out the kinks and will be in full operation in the new year. Come grab a beer, mate!”
Studio opens to the public early 2022.
