Shanice Carrington is an outpatient orthopedic / neurology therapist in New York. Originally from Long Island, NY, she graduated from the Stony Brook University Physical Therapy Doctorate Program in 2019. She is Orthopedic board certified (OCS), Parkinson’s LSVT certified – and a certified vestibular therapist (Duke Emory Cert.). Shanice has also taken two HSS 1-year residencies

Among other ambitions, Shanice has two key goals: The first is to have an open forum to discuss injury prevention training for diverse populations (e.g., from geriatrics to sports training). The second is to treat just about any population – eventually via a PT location that allows for greater one-on-one interaction, and that is covered by insurance to enable patients of all incomes to afford top rehab care. Aka: This is the main reason that she is not inclined towards a cash-based private practice.

Shanice is first generation Trinidadian – with both of her parents hailing from Trinidad and Tobago. And when she isn’t working she is traveling for both cultural and culinary enrichment. Finally, Shanice still holds the record in both shot put and discus at her high school (#tracknation stand up). Big ups and much respect to Shanice for her excellence.
